The ninth Akad’emek Student Congress for Labor Economics Students—organized in collaboration with Uludağ University and the Turkish Metal Trade Union—was held in Karadeniz Ereğli from 10 to 13 April 2024 under the theme “Twin Transitions: Digital and Green Transformation.” This gathering brought together students from the Departments of Labor Economics and Industrial Relations at universities across Turkey, and our department took an active part.

Both the paper and the poster sessions by our students opened rich discussions on the digital and environmental dimensions of the “Twin Transitions.” The congress concluded with a gala dinner, social events, and a tour of the Erdemir facilities.
